   How are you staying  motivated during  lockdown? So, we have been more or less restricted in  movement for the better part of a year.  Depending where you are, your situation will  be more or less different. Many like myself  have been through several periods of  lockdown which has resulted in restrictions on the majority of our  daily activities. We are sociable beings- well mostly! we are  used to being out and  about. Engaged in  various activities and  interactions. Suddenly, we cant go out, cant meet friend or colleagues. Can’t attend church, a concert , a party! How do you deal with this? How do you cope? Are you motivated enough to build and maintain the resilience you need to cope?   What really motivates you?     I believe it's the wish of every parents that their children are successful in school. Most children I have ever taught are equally eager to do well.  For some however, this is not the reality. How to create a better work - life balance! Become your own super cheerleader! Are you feeling like you spend all your time at work, come home to eat, shower and sleep  then go back to work? That's probably because that's exactly what you have been doing. Well ok, so you probably had several months off unless you are an essential worker , in  which case you are probably super worn out and we are so sorry about that. Stuck with home-schooling? Here are some useful tips to get your charges learning

  The ongoing pandemic situation has thrust the world in a state of crippling and challenging uncertainty. Many schools remain closed while others have opened, some more tentatively than others.  A variety of learning modes including home learning are on offer. While I think this post may be several months late 😉,  I'd be willing to bet there are parents out there who will be looking for tips   and ideas to help make the best of  home schooling. For parents , suddenly finding they are in charge of their children's education, this can be a difficult  situation to handle. We all want the very best outcomes for our children while also ensuring that they are safe. One way to best help children learning from home, is to establish and create as good a learning environment (or better) as what they are offered in school.  There can be some flexibility with this, but ideally try set them up where they can do things such as; complete writing tasks or work on a computer, on a solid and p
